Assignments Inside NAD (IntraDivision)
.

DEFINITION:  IntraDivision assignments are created by NAD Organizations for NAD Volunteers.  In other words, neither the organization nor the volunteer exist outside NAD.

The process usually takes 1-2 weeks.  Here’s the process in more detail:

The process begins after you have completed the following 2 sections:

  1. Completed an Online application.  From the main menu, click on "VOLUNTEER ACCESS" and log into the database. As soon as you submit your application, you will receive an email with the status “APPLICATION SUBMITTED”
  2. Downloaded the forms listed below and fax to your local mission’s office.  Non-SDA University students may fax the forms directly to our office at 301-680-5079.  Do not mail your original documents as they may get lost in the mail.

The following forms are required in order to complete your file:

  1. Beneficiary
  2. Release of liability form
  3. Three references. (one from Pastor/church official and 2 from professionals)
  4. Resume
  5. Health Form

Once the completed file is in our office, your file will be forwarded to the NAD organization that you chose for consideration.  If accepted  we will take your name to our appointees committee for voting.  It is difficult to determine how long the NAD organization will take to make their decision.  If they do not respond within 2 weeks you may choose another assignment.

If you are selected, we will expect the organization to send us confirmation that they have secured volunteer insurance for you.  Once we have verified that,

Your name will be taken to the NAD appointees committee for final voting..  You will then receive a status change of “APPROVED BY NAD”.
